预测技术的未来,可以说唯一确信的事是技术革新。这种技术革新是我们从事的半导体器件产生的特点之一。不过,对我们来说,可以非常明确地确定技术革新是将来的方向。 随着有关半导体工艺技术的见识或理解的增长,新工艺或新设备的研究,以及制作微细图形新技术的发展,使得大规模集成电路器件的密度推向更高的水平,图1引自“IEEE综论”杂志最近登载的资料,是从十七年来芯片尺寸和最小条宽的演变来预测将来的发展。
Predict the future of technology, we can say the only sure thing is the technological innovation. This technological innovation is one of the characteristics of the semiconductor devices we work on. However, for us, it is very clear that technological innovation is the way to go. With the increase of knowledge or understanding about semiconductor process technology, the research of new process or new equipment and the development of new technologies for making fine patterns have pushed the density of large scale integrated circuit devices to a higher level. Figure 1 is cited in " The recent publication of IEEE Comprehensive Magazine predicts future developments from the evolution of chip size and minimum bar width for 17 years.
