何谓中国梦?在中共中央总书记习近平看来,“实现中华民族伟大复兴,就是中华民族近代以来最伟大的梦想”。鉴于中国目前的发展阶段,城市化在这一梦想中的地位是显而易见的。改革开放以来,中国经济的高速增长是和快速的城市化进程紧密联系在一起的,很多地方都把城市化发展当作自己追求的“中国梦”。城市化的重要作用早就受到了世界经济和金融领域领袖们的关注,2001年诺贝尔经济学奖得主斯蒂格利茨说:“21世纪,中国的城市化和以美国为首的新技术革命将成为影响人类的两件大事。”
