Objective To investigate the status quo and control strategies of foodborne parasitic infection in Jiangmen population. Methods Five species of common fish, Clonorchis sinensis, were examined by digestion method. Clonorchis sinensis was infected by Clostridium perfringens, and the stool egg was detected by modified Katt’s method. The questionnaire was used to investigate the relationship between the general population of Clonorchis sinensis infection Of life and behavior to understand the situation; analysis of influencing clonorchiasis infection related epidemic factors using case-control method. Results A total of 1 120 commercially available samples of freshwater fish were detected in 67 samples with a detection rate of 5.98%. The detection rate of mullet was up to 7.85% (P <0.05) The infection rate of Clonorchis sinensis was 9.53%, the prevalence rate of male was higher than that of female (P <0.05), and the infection rates of both men and women were decreased year by year. The awareness rate of Clonorchis sinensis infection in 4 345 people and the knowledge of the basic knowledge of Clonorchis sinensis Rate of 26.42%, awareness of infection routes and preventive measures 0.49% (P <0.05). Conclusions The fish ponds and marine fish in Jiangmen area are contaminated by parasitic eggs such as Clonorchis sinensis. The infection rate of Clonorchis sinensis in the population is high. There is a lack of knowledge about the infection of Clonorchis sinensis in the population. The task of food hygiene education should be strengthened to change people’s bad habits Of the eating habits, take effective comprehensive prevention and control measures to ensure food safety and public health.
