For neck-facial vascular disease, ligation of the external carotid (LCE) is often performed as a treatment or to stop an emergency bleed. If only LCE without immediate and complete removal of vascular lesions, then within a few days, the external carotid artery and its branches can be obtained from its many collateral circulation in the original blood flow, which, by the cerebral artery or orbital artery development The collateral circulation and its diversion of blood flow, there will be some danger, and even the development of hemangiomas. Based on more than 200 arterial angiography and embolization of more than 200 neck-and-face hemangiomas over the past six years, and of 13 cases of LCE, the authors concluded that LCE should definitely be abolished unless it is absolutely necessary. However, the current embolization method is the most effective.
