1938年8月7日,斯坦尼斯拉夫斯基因病逝世,终年七十五岁。8月9日,在莫斯科为斯坦尼斯拉夫斯基举行了隆重的葬礼。苏联人民委员会副主席尼·亚·布尔加宁代表苏联政府在葬礼上致了悼词。斯坦尼斯拉夫斯基的亲密合作者、莫斯科艺术剧院的创建人之一弗·伊·聂米罗维奇一丹钦科,也作了讲话。这些讲话的速记记录发表于次日《真理报》上。这里的译文分别根据1939年出版的《莫斯科艺术剧院年鉴》和1963年出版的《斯坦尼斯拉夫斯基》一书译出。
On August 7, 1938, Stanislavsky died of a disease and died at the age of seventy-five. On August 9, a grand funeral for Stanislavski took place in Moscow. Neya Bulguning, vice chairman of the Soviet People’s Committee, delivered a eulogy at the funeral on behalf of the Soviet government. Speaking also was made by Inje Nirvirovich-Danchenko, one of the founders of Stanislavsky and one of the founding members of the Moscow Art Theater. The shorthand record of these speeches is published in the next day, Pravda. The translations here are based on the 1939 Moscow Art Theater Yearbook and 1963 Stanislavski respectively.
