马荣是新版第五套100元人民币毛泽东主席肖像的原版雕刻者。作为中国印钞造币总公司技术中心设计雕刻室的高级工艺美术师,由她雕刻的毛泽东主席肖像成为第五套人民币50元、20元、10元、5元和1元票面的核心图案。她也是我国第一位雕刻人民币主景人像的女雕刻家。“一拿起雕刻刀,我就感觉自己进入了另一个世界,那里只有点与线,凹与凸,只有我创作的人物形象。”
Ma Rong is the new version of the fifth set of 100 yuan Chairman Mao portrait of the original engraver. As a senior art and craft artist who designed the engraving room in the Technical Center of China Banknote Printing and Mint Corporation, the portrait of Chairman Mao Zedong engraved by her became the core set of the fifth set of RMB50, RMB20, RMB10, RMB5 and RMB1. She is also the first female sculptor in China to engrave the portraiture of the renminbi. “As soon as I picked up the carving knife, I felt like I had entered another world where there was only dots and lines, concave and convex, and only the characters I created.”
