Objective To investigate the relationship between cord loss and acute fetal distress. Methods Totally 13 cases of abnormal umbilical cord in the first single-term full-term pregnancy with no pregnancy complications and pregnancy complications were selected, and there were no pregnancy complications and pregnancy with the first single-fetus full-term pregnancy in the same period Complications of normal umbilical cord in 90 cases (normal group), by analyzing the two groups of clinical examination, fetal heart rate monitoring, monitoring results of amniotic fluid during labor to determine the causes of acute fetal distress. Results Abnormal fetus fetal head did not enter the basin, obstruction of fetal head descent during delivery, the production of fetal heart rate changes (VD, LD), acute fetal distress and cesarean section incidence was significantly higher than the normal group, the difference was statistically significant . Conclusion The short of umbilical cord is one of the causes of acute fetal distress. Combined monitoring of multiple indicators has predictive effect on acute fetal distress caused by too short umbilical cord
