嗣子壶是战国中期的重要铜器,现存二件,传1928—1931年洛阳金村出土。陈梦家先生介绍的这件,原藏清华大学文物陈列室,1959年调入中国历史博物馆。通高46.3厘米,器高40、口径15.2、宽29.5厘米。颈外有铭文23行50字,见于《三代吉金文存》12.28。另一件,现藏加拿大安大略博物馆。通高49.5、宽29、底径17厘米。铭文见《三代》12.29和《两周金文辞大系》录278,图像见《大系》图192。
The heir pot is an important bronze ware in the middle of the Warring States Period. There are two extant pieces that were handed down from Luoyang Golden Village in 1928-1931. Introduced by Mr. Chen Mengjia this piece, formerly hidden cultural relics showroom in Tsinghua University, transferred to China History Museum in 1959. Through high 46.3 cm, height 40, caliber 15.2, width 29.5 cm. Neck inscription 23 line 50 words, found in “Three Generations of gold deposit” 12.28. Another, now hidden in Ontario Museum, Canada. Through 49.5, width 29, bottom diameter of 17 cm. The inscriptions are found in the “Three Generations” 12.29 and the “Two Weeks of Jin and Ci Dafa Records” 278, and the images are shown in the “Grand Series” of Figure 192.
