源于生活 还于生活——如何使英语生活化

随着我国改革开放广泛深入的开展,国际间的交往越来越重要和频繁,因此社会对于人才的外语水平,尤其是口语水平的要求也越来越高。但是注意一下我们的身边,就不难发现多年学英语开不了口者,或是大学毕业仍为口语困惑者比比皆是。究其原因,传统的外语教学往往侧重于语法、词汇和翻译,结果造成学生语言知识和丰富,而语用能力却很低下,这种状况显然不符合新时代对人才外语素质的需求。要尽快改变这种局面,外语教学的改革势在必行。要让英语真正生活化,就应该从小抓起,从低年级抓起,针对少儿活泼、胆大、善于模仿、思维活跃的特点,采取有效的方法,最终实现目标。而其中非常有效的方法就是直接法(The Direct Method)和听说法(The Audio-lingual Method)。直接法是指19世纪末出现的、主张不依赖学生的本族语,通过思想和外语的直接联系来教外语的方法。它是自然教学途径之一。听说法是第一个自觉地把系统的语言学和心理学理论作为理论基础的教学法体系。它是正规教学途径之一。这两种方法都是目前英语教学中非常有效的,那么这两种方法是否真的能让英语生活化呢?下面笔者就谈谈自己的看法。 With the extensive and in-depth reform and opening up in our country, the exchanges between the two countries are becoming more and more important and frequent. As a result, students’ language knowledge and enrichment are caused, while their pragmatic abilities are very low. This situation obviously does not meet the needs of the new era for the quality of foreign language talents. To change this situation as soon as possible, the reform of foreign language teaching is imperative. To make English a real life, we should start from an early age, start from the lower grades, in view of the characteristics of children lively, bold, good at imitation, active thinking, to take effective ways to achieve the ultimate goal. One of the most effective methods is The Direct Method and The Audio-lingual Method. The direct method refers to the method that emerged at the end of the 19th century and claimed to rely on the students’ native language to teach foreign languages ​​through the direct connection between thought and foreign language. It is one of the natural teaching ways. Hear-the-Law is the first pedagogic system that consciously places systematic linguistics and psychology theories as its theoretical foundation. It is one of the formal teaching methods. Both of these methods are currently very effective in teaching English, so these two methods can really make English life?
