上海要建成国际经济、金融、贸易中心城市,信息化是先导,是基础,是前提。为此,上海市委、市政府在1994年就提出了上海信息港的目标,提出要在2010年初步建成地区性的信息高速公路,使上海成为经济社会高度信息化的国际大城市。上海信息港将由覆盖全市并与国内外信息网络互连的高速、大容量的信息传送网和各种社会应用、服务系统所组成,是信息汇集、传送、交流的结点。
Shanghai wants to build an international economic, financial and trade center city. Informationization is the precursor and the basis and the premise. To this end, Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Shanghai Municipal Government put forward the goal of Shanghai Information Port in 1994, proposing to initially establish a regional information expressway in 2010, making Shanghai a big international city with highly informatized economy and society. Shanghai Information Port will be composed of high-speed and large-capacity information transmission network and various social applications and service systems that cover the whole city and are interconnected with domestic and overseas information networks. It is the node of information collection, transmission and exchange.
