知道了田汉先生逝世的消息之后,我脑海中浮现出一九四七年田先生(当时大家对田汉同志的尊称)出入于上海市立实验戏剧学校时的身影,想到田先生为上海剧校撰写的校歌。“我们是中华民族的善良儿女,是人类灵魂的青年工匠……”这些令人感奋激扬的词句,迄今还在我耳边回响。但遗憾的是记忆中的歌词已不很完整了。为此,我曾向各地的原上海剧校的师生询问,请他们帮助回忆和补充:但毕竟时隔久远,经过几年的努力,仍旧没有人再补充出一句歌词。但我还是不死心,一有机会总还要问起,继续查找。也算是“苍天不负苦心人”吧。今年春节前夕,偶然的一次机会,我从上海剧校幸存的部分档案中,竟奇迹般地发现了这份珍贵的资料。原来当时吴天等同志利用印有校歌的报纸背面、写了其他文字,这份报纸方得以保存下来。因此,真要感谢吴天同志对这一张报纸的 Knowing the death of Mr. Tian Han, I came to mind in 1947 when Mr. Tian (at that time everyone was comrade Tian Han) went to the Shanghai Experimental Drama School, thinking of Mr. Tian’s writing for the Shanghai Drama School School song. “We are the good children of the Chinese nation and the young artisans who are the souls of mankind.” These inspiring words have so far echoed in my ears.
