长期以来,高校工会的经费来源主要是行政拨交收入和会员交纳的会费收入。虽然这些收入相对稳定,但根本不能满足工会活动经费不断增长的需要。通过一段时间的学习实践,我们认识到办第三产业是工会开源的必由之路,在具体操作时,应因地制宜,讲求实效,必须坚持为广大教职工服务的宗旨。在校领导的支持下,我们反复研究、讨论,决定将一座约3500平方米的学校礼堂改建成“教工之家”。这样约需资金3万余元,但校工会无此承受能力。我们在全校各部门工会主席会上作了呼吁,大家纷纷出谋划策,一致同意发动基层工会组织会员捐款。全校18个单位很快集资1.4万余元,校领导从校长基金中捐款1800元,学校资助5000元,省教育工会也给予了一定的支持,仅一个多月就把“教工之家”办起来了。这一事例说明,积极争取领导支持,发动基层工会组织会员资助,是解决工会经费不足的途径之一。“教工之家”成立后,我们坚持把社会效益放在首位,每逢节假日和星期三晚上举办免费招待舞会,
