四川永川县红旗林场位于华蓥山系巴岳山脉东侧,海拔400-900米。气候温暖湿润,年降雨量1,507毫米,年平均气温15.6℃,极温35.5℃、-0.8℃,空气相对湿度84％。土壤系砂岩发育而成的黄壤,呈酸性反应。属低山丘陵次生林区。自1962年建场以来,在宜林荒山上营造了大面积马尾松纯林和少量松杉、松栎混交林,并发展竹林上千亩(建场时仅有少量块状残竹林)。现在,各类林分均郁闭成林。在燕子岩和秦家山两个工区已形成几千亩结构较为复杂的松、竹(自然块状和株间)混交林,长势喜
