中国金属学会于1984年7月2日至7日在北京召开了“2000年中国钢铁工业”预测成果论证会。参加会议的代表共计150人。包括各专题论文作者、各专业学术委员会正、副主任委员、部分委员以及“2000年钢铁工业”编委会成员。中国金属学会,于五月中旬完成“2000年中国钢铁工业”预测研究第一阶段工作。内容为目前国内外钢铁工业生产与科技水平及差距。这次会议是在第一阶段工作的基础上,对我国 China Society for Metals held the “2000 China Iron and Steel Industry” prediction outcome demonstration in Beijing from July 2 to July 7, 1984.
