开展羣众选种运动,评选优良品种,是保证五年内完成良种普及的重要步骤。在麦收前,各地应按具体情况分别布置,大力领导小麦选种,以达预期目的。因此各级农林部门可吸收技术干部劳动英雄参加,成立各级选种委员会,加强评选工作领导,组织技术干部进行品种检定。在巳推广良种地区,由种子公司进行收购工作,根据计划按期布置检查和总结工作,及时交流经验与纠正缺点。选种工作结束后就要制定下年良种繁殖计划。在宣传方面:要说明优良种子对于增产的好处及政府奖励品种改良和提高技术的政策,并将五年良种普及计划深入传达到羣众中去,完成这一任务,应是每一个农村工作者的责任。
