初中历史教学以年代为纵向线索和以经济政治文化为横向线索的特征,一方面符合初中生的思维发展特征,促进了学生知识的理解,另一方面又影响了知识的整体性和系统性,图式教学法在一定程度上弥补了这一不足。另一方面,初中历史背景和历史史实脱离当下的背景,历史知识的理解首先需要学生对历史背景的理解,而图示教学法的形象性满足了这一需求。
