Remains of Greenland are threatened by climate change and archeologists step up their investigations to monitor the conservation and management of the site Kangeq’s Nuuk Fjord in western Greenland. For centuries it has been a regional trading hub and has offices within the Royal Trading Authority. Due to the Danish government’s adjustment of social and medical services, the last few families moved out of the area in 1973 and moved to the mainland. The present Konark is like a ghost town: the houses are dilapidated, the church is sealed with planks, the road is rugged and the bridge is defeated. The water’s mud is lined with huge whale ribs, broken glass, wood and rusty metal. Upon closer inspection, the poolside soil contains thousands of broken fish, birds and marine mammals
