20世纪90年代初,世界各发达国家和新兴工业化国家提出各自建设“信息高速公路”的行动计划,全球掀起信息化建设的竞赛浪潮。而在今天,在中国的东方,一项跨世纪的宏伟工程——上海国际信息港框架已基本形成,主体工程将于今年完成。目前上海已经感受到了信息港带来的巨大成效,许多信息化指数名列全国前列,有的已接近发达国家水平。如同屹立在黄浦江畔的明珠塔一样,上海信息港向全国乃至全世界散发出眩丽夺目的光彩。
In the early 1990s, each developed country and newly industrializing country in the world put forward its own plan of action for building an “information superhighway,” and a wave of competition in information construction was set off in the world. Today, in the east of China, a grand project of the past century - the framework of the Shanghai International Information Port has basically taken shape and the main project will be completed this year. At present, Shanghai has already experienced the tremendous effect brought by the port of information. Many informatization indexes are among the highest in the country and some are close to the level of developed countries. Like the Pearl Tower standing by the banks of the Huangpu River, Shanghai Port of Information sends out dazzling brilliance to the whole country and the whole world.
