培养学生自学、阅读能力是中学英语教学的目的。那么,如何培养学生的自学、阅读能力呢?笔者认为从初中英语课文教法改革入手,就完全能够做到。在初中英语教学中,一般阶段侧重的是在低年级培养学生的听、说能力,在高年级培养、提高学生综合运用英语及阅读的能力。那么能否从低年级阶段就重视学生自学、阅读能力的 Cultivating students’ self-learning and reading ability is the purpose of English teaching in middle schools. So, how to cultivate students’ self-study and reading ability? The author believes that starting from the reform of the junior high school English teaching and learning law, it can completely do it. In junior high school English teaching, the general stage focuses on the ability to develop students’ listening and speaking skills in the lower grades, cultivate students in senior grades, and improve their ability to use English as a whole and read. Can we attach importance to students’ self-learning and reading skills from the lower grades?
