In the recent period, “being close to reality, getting close to the masses and living close to the people” (“three closeness”) has become the code of conduct for most grassroots television reporters. Only when the grassroots TV reporters truly “get close” to the masses and their lives are they able to capture the most vivid news materials and interview the most lively people and things in the first place and the first scene. However, from practical experience, to understand things deeper and essential, we also need reporters to “find out” the numerous phenomena arising from the “three close-ups.” The premise of this “discovery” is the journalist’s “sincerity” - to be honest with the interviewees and serve them sincerely. Because, the appearance of all things in the world often have some distance or nature is inconsistent. The nature of things is not easily perceived but must be understood and mastered by journalists.
