伟大领袖和导师毛主席不幸逝世,俺们魁星庄大队的贫下中农,心如刀绞,放声恸哭,整个村庄沉浸在无限的哀痛之中。在这极其悲痛的时刻,俺们回忆起在万恶的旧社会,魁星庄大队是个有名的佃户村,村穷、地碱,粮食亩产不过百斤。全村不到四十户,却有三十多户给地主扛长活,打短工,日子比黄连还苦。一遇荒年,穷人更是苦上加苦,逃荒要饭,卖儿卖女,妻离子散,家破人亡。贫农张鹤峰的爷爷被地主害死,他的奶奶和父亲在外讨饭三十多年,解放后才回到魁星庄。
