大姚芦川乡一些农民来信征询药材的栽培技术。我已在《云南林业》陆续介绍了黄莲、贝母、知母等的栽培方法,现我再介绍元胡的栽培技术,希望能对农村发展生产,劳动致富有所帮助。元胡别名延胡索、玄胡、延胡。主产于浙江,为罂粟科多年生草本植物。地下块茎球形,地上茎纤弱,高20厘米左右;在高6—7厘米处的茎上,生一长卵形的鳞片,鳞片腋内生枝。小叶为楔形,倒卵形,全缘。元胡5月开花,紫碧色,蒴果,长椭圆状线形,供药用部分主要是块茎。主要成分为延胡素及罂粟止痛硷。性温,味苦辛。对头痛、腹痛、胃痛、疝痛、月经痛、周身肢体痛及分娩后阵
