2000年以来,全国学校(含幼儿园)共发生火灾3700余起,死亡44人,受伤79人,直接财产损失2200余万元。对此,党中央、国务院高度重视,要求切实加强学校的消防安全工作。教育部和公安部多次组织消防安全的治理和检查,各级教育行政部门和学校积极开展自查自改,消除了一批火灾隐患,取得了一定成效,学校的消防安全状况逐步得到改善。但是一些学校仍存在不少火灾隐患,有些问题还比较普遍,部分学校依然存在重视不够、管理不严、制度不够健全、措施不够到位的问题,尤其是一些学校存在私拉乱接
Since 2000, a total of more than 3700 fires have taken place in schools across the country (including kindergartens), 44 of them have been killed, 79 have been injured and 22 million of direct property losses have been caused. In this regard, the Central Party Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the call for the effective strengthening of school fire safety work.
