硫化铜镍精矿经火法熔炼,获得以镍、铜为主及含少量铁的高锍,其中富集了贵金属、钴、硒、碲等元素。高锍的处理,是分离镍、铜的关键环节,近来以缓冷磨浮分离方法应用较为普遍。此法基于熔融状态的高锍在冷却时,各组分结晶温度相差较大。如:Cu_2S 为921℃、Ni_3S_2为5750℃。经缓冷的高锍,趋向于沿晶粒界面破裂,缓冷可获得性质稳定且品粒粗大而质脆的产物,将其磨细,在碱性介质中浮选,能分别产出 Cu_2S 及 Ni_3S_2精矿。
