岳滩农业社位居河南偃师县南,伊洛两河夹河地带,三面临水,地势低洼,夏季易受水灾,全社共有耕地2,069亩,多为冲积沙壤土和胶泥土质,其中也有300余亩沙土地,每年遭受风沙侵袭,影响产量很大。1957年秋全社共种小麦1,637亩。总产量达到1,759,570斤,平均每亩单产1.074.14斤,其中有8.8亩达到1,500斤以上的高额产量,岳滩社所以能取得连年迅速增产的原因,除了党的领导及广大群众发挥了积极性外,并有很多技术经验值得介绍。
