2006年5月18日,山西大同左云县张家场乡新井煤矿发生特别重大透水事故,56人遇难,黑心矿主为掩盖事实真相,编造弥天大谎。这起事故引起了党中央、国务院的高度重视,温家宝总理2次作出重要批示,要求全力抢救被困人员,加大排水工作力度,核实井下被困人数,严肃查处有关人员责任,要将查处结果及时向社会公布,惩一儆百。
On May 18, 2006, 56 major casualties occurred at Xinjing Coal Mine, Zhangjiachang Township, Zuoyun County, Datong, Shanxi Province, killing 56 people. The black-hearted miners fabricated a big lie to cover up the truth. The incident caused the Central Party Committee and the State Council attach great importance.
