加强社会主义精神文明建设,必须加强和改善党对精神文明建设的领导。社会主义市场经济体制的建立和发展,对社会主义精神文明建设提出了更新、更高和更为迫切的要求。这是我们党在领导社会主义现代化建设的历史进程中面临的严峻课题。清醒地认识我们党所肩负的责任,积极探索精神文明建设的新思路,不断强化党对精神文明建设的领导力度,这是市场经济条件下搞好社会主义精神文明建设的必然选择。
To strengthen the building of a socialist spiritual civilization, we must strengthen and improve the party’s leadership over the building of spiritual civilization. The establishment and development of the socialist market economic system has brought forth newer, higher and more pressing demands for the building of a socialist spiritual civilization. This is a serious issue that our party faces in the historical process of leading the socialist modernization drive. A clear understanding of the responsibilities shouldered by our party, actively exploring new ways of building spiritual civilization and constantly strengthening the party’s leadership over the building of spiritual civilization are the inevitable choices for doing a good job in building a spiritual civilization with socialist market economy.
