Objective: To study in depth the mechanism of excessive mouth-opening pain caused by mouth. Methods: To observe the histopathological changes of TMJ and masticatory muscle and SP, PGE_2, PGF_ (2a) in over-mouth animal models. Of the immune response; detection of 24 healthy volunteers before and after mouth mouth mouth pain threshold changes. Results: Excessive mouth opening induced the injury of TMJ and masticatory muscle, and there were obvious accumulation of SP, PGE_2 and PGF_ (2a) in the injured area. The pain threshold of the mouth and facial area obviously decreased after excessive mouth opening, There are individual differences and site differences in response to excessive mouth opening. Conclusion: Overexposure can damage TMJ and masticatory muscles, causing pain in the mouth and face. The process involves endogenous pain-inducing substances.
