2006年4月26日上午,经最高人民法院核准,震惊国内外的“巨贪”———河北省原对外贸易合作厅(以下简称省外贸厅)副厅长兼河北省机电产品进出口办公室(以下简称省机电办)主任李友灿在河北省保定市被执行死刑。经审理查明,从2001年8月至2003年4月一年零九个月的时间里,李友灿利用职务之便,受贿数额高达4744万元,平均每月受贿220多万元,不但成为建国以来河北省的“第一贪”,在目前全国已被判处死刑的贪官中,他的受贿数额也是最大的。一个曾经家境贫寒、在部队立过战功的人,一个前途看好的副厅级干部,为何“光环”蜕尽,贪欲膨胀,在如此短暂的时间里“为钱疯狂”,又是如何走上不归之路的呢?
