骨雕《八十七神仙卷》是用1.5吨骆驼骨雕刻而成的长6米、高1.2米、宽0.6米,目前中国独一无二的巨型驼骨雕刻作品。作者董秉义先生是包头市博物馆高级工艺师。作品是根据徐悲鸿先生收藏的唐末宋初的古画《八十七神仙卷》精心创作的。这件作品仿佛是一首气势磅礴的交响诗,从整体到细部以娴熟的手法,流畅的线条浑然天成。本着忠于原作的基础以三维空间营造了各具神态的人物形象。祥云缭绕的广寒宫,飞舞的仙鹤,争奇斗艳的莲花生动逼真,八十七位神仙于船形骨干之上,惟妙惟肖。董秉义青年时代在北京象牙雕刻厂当学徒,由于大象是野生保护动物,象牙原料越来越少。为了保护、发展“中国牙雕”这门源远流长的民族艺术,他开始了对驼骨雕刻的探索,用了4年时间,克服了各种困难,于2004年初完成了《八十七神仙卷》巨型驼骨雕刻,驼骨雕刻也成为了他的独创,并
