概述金川铜镍矿床位于祁吕贺山字型构造前弧西翼北侧,阿拉善台块内部区与边缘隆起毗连的北西西向F_1大断裂南侧.矿床形成后,被断层错开为四个矿段,自西而东依次为三矿区、一矿区、二矿区和四矿区(图1).含矿超基性岩体侵入于前震旦纪片麻岩和大理岩系中.一、二矿区岩体出露地表,面积1.34平方公里.一矿区矿体埋藏浅,地表有氧化矿露头,是最早被发现和勘探的.三、四矿区岩体小,品位低,均为厚数十米的第四纪砂砾岩覆盖.
