我所位于五岭山下,海拔730公尺,境内山峦起伏。无霜期211天,年平均温度15.3℃,四季云雾多,日照时数少,是个典型的高寒山区。在毛主席革命路线的指引下,在上级党委和县委的领导下,在有关单位的大力支持、协助下,从1970年起,我所开展了水稻雄性不育的研究。几年来,我所党支部以党的基本路线为纲,带领全所同志发扬敢想敢干、勇于攀登科学高峰的革命精神,排除各种干扰,始终坚持把水稻雄性不育研究工作,作为重点来抓,一年三代,南繁北育。经过几年的艰苦奋战,实现了“三系”配套,使水稻杂种用于生产成为现实。今年进行了较大面积示范,获得成功,取得了丰硕成果。所内共栽培杂交组合97个,面积73.015亩,其中早稻试种杂交组
