国家环保总局,各省、自治区、直辖市财政厅(局)、物价局(委员会):根据《财政部、国家计委关于公布取消第三批行政事业性收费项目的通知》(财综字[1999]195号)的规定,自2000年1月1日起取消机动车尾气检测费。最近,一些地方来函要求明确取消机动车尾气检测费的范围。经研究,现将有关问题通知如下:一、公布取消的机动车尾气检测费,是指除质量技术监督部门对汽车生产企业生产的机动车实行产品质量监督检验进行的排气设施检验,以及公安交通管理部门对机动车年度安全检验进行的尾气检验所收取的检测费以外,其他各种对机动车的强制性尾气检测收费。二、由于质量技术监督部门对汽车生产企业生产的机动车实行的产品质量监督检验,包括了排气设施
