很多公司、政府机构、学校以及某些行业都对底层组织机构中资源分散,彼此相互孤立的现状感到不满,因此对网格能够最大限度地共享资源这一特性抱有极大的兴趣。举一个例子,我国211工程当中,仅各高校价值5万元以上的贵重仪器设备的总投资就有450亿元。绝对数字虽然很大,但因为这些设备分散到了各个学校,所起到的作用就相对有限了。如果通过网格将这些设备利用起来,将可以极大地提高资源利用率。网格的好处是明显的,而近年来迅速发展的linux、刀片服务器等技术更填补了网格技术蓝图中的遗漏部分。但是,网格什么时候才能普及应用仍旧存在不同的说法,而普通公众对网格的了解也存在很多误区。为此,CWEEK编辑部组织了本次专题,用20个版进行报道(P27-P49),期望能够帮助大家加深对网格的了解,树立起对网格的正确认识。
