2005年8月7日13时13分,广东兴宁市大兴煤矿发生特别重大透水事故,井下被困的123名矿工全部遇难。大兴矿难是今年一次死亡百人以上的第2起煤矿特别重大事故,也是建国以来最严重的煤矿透水事故,针对这起矿难后面的一系列问题,国务院发出了《关于坚决整顿关闭不具备安全生产条件和非法煤矿的紧急通知》和《关于预防煤矿生产安全事故的特别规定》,掀起了煤炭行业反腐风暴。鉴于这起事故具有典型的教育意义,本刊记者特综合了部分中央媒体的报道和政府文件资料,也采访、求证了事故调查组部分知情人士及热心举报人,以期对这起事故作一个全方位的透视。
