1997年,香港就要回到祖国的怀抱,因此,了解香港幼儿教育的现状,对进一步深化我国幼儿教育改革,并使之与世界接轨,是十分重要的。 一、幼儿教育的机构与形成 香港幼儿教育属非义务教育阶段,幼儿教育的机构主要有两种:托儿所和幼儿园。托儿所由社会福利部管理,以全日制为主,半日制为辅;每天开放7—10个小时,从上午8—9点到下午4—7点为2—6岁儿童提供关心、照顾及教育;教师与儿童之比为1:14;适龄受教儿童中有19%在此机构中获益。 幼儿园由教育部管理,为3—5岁儿童提供各种教育;以半日制为主,全日制为辅;儿童每天在园3—4个小时,从上午9点至中午12点,或从下午1点至4点;师幼比率已从1:45提高到1:32;适龄
