安顺市西秀区教师幼儿园建于1939年,是安顺黔江中学附设的一所幼稚园。六十多年的风风雨雨,六十多年的发展变化,该园可谓桃李满天,英才遍中华。安顺市西秀区教师幼儿园由于得到各级领导的重视和关怀,加上全园教职工的努力,自力更生,艰苦办园,使一个从旧社会过渡来的面积仅120平方米陈旧幼儿园一改容颜,目前已初具规模。幼儿园目前占地面积2576.8平方米(3.87亩),1985年修建教学楼740.5平方米,2002年楼梯改建装修焕然一新,1999年修建教学楼1100平方米,已基本建成了一所师资力量雄厚,保教质量较高,赢得社会各界赞誉的幼儿园。据不完全统计,自改为安顺市西秀区教师幼儿园以来,该园曾获国家级表彰一次,省级表彰14次,地区级表彰7次,市级表彰34次。经省、地、市领导验收,1993提6月被省教委评为“贵州省县级示范幼儿园”;1994年12月被省教委授牌为“贵州省一类幼儿园”;1997年11月被省教委评为“贵州省县级示范园先进单位”;2001年12月,荣获西秀区教育工会表彰《我们有哪些合法权益》知识竞赛“先进单位”;2002年3月,荣获西秀区妇联表彰为“三八红旗集体”。中国/联合国基金会2001-2005年周期“早期儿童养育下转封三
