为了探讨补肾生血药新剂型“益髓生血灵胶囊”对β－地中海贫血的疗效，临床上治疗１２例。男性５的，女性７例，年龄６－３１岁，１４岁以下占７例，壮族９例，汉族３例，均为广西籍。血红蛋白≤７０ｇ／Ｌ１０例，＞７０ｇ／Ｌ２例，抗碱血红蛋白０．０８６－０．６８２，平均０．２０，其中９例复合血红蛋白Ｅ。中药方剂由熟地黄、山萸肉、党参及阿胶等１１味中药，用中药传统方法和现代工艺提纯而制成粉剂装入胶囊，每粒药净重０．４ｇ，每日３次，每次４粒，３个月为一疗程，１２例均有效，临床症状改善，精神振奋，食欲增加，肝脾缩小，血红蛋白增加１４－３０ｇ／Ｌ，平均２０．８ｇ／Ｌ，网织红细胞增加０．０２－０．１４，平均增加０．０８４，血细胞及血小板疗前和疗后无明显变化，未见副作用。
