嗜人按蚊(An、anthropophaga),是南方各省传播疟疾的主要媒介。近年来,江苏省的调查证明该蚊的分布与恶性疟的流行有十分密切的关系,安徽省调查结果表明该蚊主要分布在淮河以南的山区,丘陵区。1982年柳朝藩等在安徽省舒城县的研究结果证明,嗜人按蚊对恶性疟原虫的敏感性高于中华按蚊,为恶性疟的主要传播媒介。我省自1979年在商城首次发现嗜人 An, anthropophaga, is the main vehicle for transmitting malaria in the southern provinces.
