由上海图书馆发起编纂《中国家谱总目》,20∞年6月在北京召开的“中文文献资源共建共享合作会议”上获得立项。文化部办公厅2001年2月7日发出“关于协助编好《中国家谱总目》的通知”,要求全国各省(市、区)文化厅(局)和图书馆及有关单位协助《中国家谱总目》编委单位做好工作,使《中国家谱总目》这一浩大的文化工程顺利进行。2月27日,《中国家谱总目》上海地区编纂会议在上海图书馆召开,有关编纂单位代表及市文广局、市档案局、上海图书馆的领导出席会议。会议由上海图书馆党委副书记王世伟主持,上海图书馆馆
It was initiated by the Shanghai Library to compile the “General Catalog of China’s Genealogy” and was approved at the “Chinese Literature Resources Co-construction and Sharing Cooperation Meeting” held in Beijing in June 20 ∞. On February 7, 2001, the General Office of the Ministry of Culture issued the Circular on Assisting in Preparing the General Catalog of China’s Genealogy, and asked the cultural departments (bureaus), libraries, and relevant agencies of provinces (municipalities and districts) across the country to assist in the “ Head ”editorial board unit to do a good job, so that“ China genealogy ”this vast cultural project smoothly.
