“郑州商城即汤都亳说”的文献依据主要有二:一是《春秋》经和《左传》襄公十一年的“同盟于亳城北”;二是郑州出土的战国陶文~①。数年前,笔者曾写就一篇题为《郑州商城与战国陶文“亳”、“十一年口口口”》的短文,后来发表在《考古与文物》2002年增刊的先秦考古专号。该文将郑州商城宫殿区战国文化层出土的“亳”与“十一年口口口”印陶与《春秋·襄公十一年》的“同盟于亳城北”联系起来,并推定印陶中的十一年是指晋悼公十一年,亦即鲁襄公十一年。当时之所以在题目中用了三个空格,就是因为对“十一年”之后的文字没有读通。尽管试将其释读为“以来止”三字,但是并无把握。
