中国第二届全国地层会议于1979年11月10日—23日在北京召开。这次会议由国家科委副主任武衡主持,国务院副总理康世恩出席会议并讲了话。参加会议的有中国科学院、地质部、石油部、煤炭部、冶金部、化工部、水利部、二机部、建材部、国家经委、国家科委、中国科协、各有关大专院校的从事生产、科研、教学等方面的代表,共五百名。应邀参加这次会议的有美国、日本、西德、奥地利、新西兰、委内
The 2nd National Stratum Conference in China was held in Beijing from November 10 to November 23, 1979.
