自1995年市政府提出“以港立市”,把厦门建成现代化国际性港口风景城的发展战略以来,作为“航空港、海港和信息港”三大港之一的“海港”在政府的扶持下得到进一步发展,1999年集装箱吞吐量达84.8万TEU,全国排名第6,同时跻身全球第67位。2000年1-6月份全港集装箱吞吐量已达48.3万TEU,年底可望突破100万TEU大关。如何把厦门建成集装箱国际中转港,已为越来越多的人们所关注。 Since the city government put forward the strategy of “establishing a city by port” in 1995, the “seaport” as one of the three major ports of “airport, seaport and information port” has been obtained under the support of the government since its establishment as a modern international port city.
