我能够在为了新中国的建设而努力于使物理学更好地发展的中国物理学者们面前得到讲演的机会,感到十分光荣。新中国的建成是全亚洲各民族解放的基础,是世界和平的堡垒。我除了对诸位在这一伟大事业上所获得的成就衷心祝贺之外,同时顶祝今后获得更大的发展。我作为第一个访问解放后的中国的日本理论物理学者,有义务把日本理论物理学的发展和现况介绍给诸位。虽然理论物理学的范围很广,但我只能谈一谈我的专业,也就是“基本粒子论”。基本粒子论从语义上来说是“基本粒子的理论”,但我们一般却用于稍微广泛一些的意义上,即包括理论原子核物理学的全部。在日本研究基本粒子论的人数非常多。这就形成日本理论物理学的一个特征。
I am honored to have the chance to speak in front of Chinese physicists who have worked hard for the better development of physics in order to build a new China. The founding of new China is the foundation for the liberation of all ethnic groups in Asia and a stronghold for world peace. In addition to my heartiest congratulation on the achievements you have made in this great cause, I also wish for more development in the future. As the first Japanese theoretical physicist who visited China after its liberation, I have an obligation to introduce the development and current situation of Japanese theoretical physics to you. Although a wide range of theoretical physics, but I can only talk about my major, which is “basic particle theory.” Basic particle theory is semantically a “theory of elementary particles,” but we generally use it in a somewhat broader sense, including all of theoretical nuclear physics. There are many people who study elementary particle theory in Japan. This forms a characteristic of Japanese theoretical physics.
