《经济工作月刊》一、二期合刊,跚跚来迟,但终于同读者见面了。今年以来,不少作者、读者来电来函,关心《经济工作月刊》的命运。对此,我们深表谢意。同时,也为一、二、期的迟到,向大家致歉。 数年以前,我们满腔热情地办起了《经济工作月刊》。原先我们设想,在信息倍增,社会文化需求扩大的情况下,为有效传播信息,也为众多朋友发表自己的言论,提供一块小小的园地。我们以为,只要经过努力,《经济工作月刊》一定会受到欢迎。现在看来,当时我们的想法过于乐观了。

We think that with the hard work, the Economic Work Monthly will surely be welcomed. Now it seems that our ideas were too optimistic.
