OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of UNIOP dressing combined with recombinant human epidermal growth factor gel in the treatment of children with degree Ⅱ scald. Methods: 100 cases of grade Ⅱ burns selected from June 2013 to June 2015 were divided into observation group (50 cases) and control group (50 cases) according to digital table method. The control group was treated with Vaseline gauze plus human epidermal growth factor gel to cover the wound surface. The observation group was treated with the Epitope plus extender human epidermal growth factor gel to cover the wound surface. The changes of VAS score, average wound healing time and average healing rate, wound exudate score and inflammation around the wound were compared between the two groups before treatment. Results: The VAS scores of the two groups were significantly decreased on the 1st, 3rd, 7th and 14th days (P <0.05). The VAS scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group on the 3rd, 7th and 14th days (all P <0.05). The average healing time of the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group, and the average healing rate was significantly faster than that of the control group (P <0.05). The wound exudate scores of both groups were significantly increased at 7 and 14 days The 14-day treatment was significantly higher than that of the 7-day treatment (P <0.05). The wound exudate score in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group on the 7th and 14th days (P <0.05) , 14 d significantly increased, and 14 d after treatment was significantly higher than that of 7 d (P <0.05). Inflammatory score in the wound surface of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group on the 7th and 14th day after treatment (P <0.05). Conclusion: The combination of UNIOPI and recombinant human epidermal growth factor gel in treating children with grade Ⅱ scald has obvious effect. The new dressing is obviously superior to traditional dressing in relieving pain and promoting wound healing in children, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
