随着科学技术的发展,对热处理技术提出了控温精度高、操作简便可靠、并能实现自动控温或程序控温等要求。这对现在热处理盐炉上所使用的仿苏盐溶炉变压器来讲已是不能满足要求了;近年来国内外在金属热处理技术中已相继采用了磁性调压器(国外称“带有饱和电抗器的变压器”)。实践证明磁性调压器是金属热处理技术中较为理想的调压控温设备。
