蔡和森在出席共产国际执委会第六次代表大会和驻共产国际期间积极推动中共五大及早召开,实际参与共产国际对五次大会的筹备工作。1927年4月回国参与五次大会的具体筹备,担任大会秘书长。在大会上他坚决支持和贯彻共产国际关于中国问题的决议精神,批评陈独秀等人的机会主义错误,为党的五大成功召开作了重要贡献。在会后又总结五大的历史教训,也是他对中共五大的特别贡献之一。
During the attendance of the 6th Congress of Comintern and the Comintern, Cai Hesen actively promoted the convening of the 5th Plenary Session of the Communist Party of China as early as possible and actually participated in the preparations for the Fifth Congress by the Comintern. In April 1927, he returned to China to participate in the preparations for the five general meetings as the general secretary of the conference. At the conference, he firmly supported and implemented the resolution of the Comintern on China’s resolution and criticized the errors of opportunism made by Chen Duxiu and others as an important contribution to the success of the party’s five great undertakings. After the meeting, they summed up the five major historical lessons and made him one of the special contributions made to the top five of the CCP.
