去年年初偶从《书讯报》上读到《中国文化在启蒙时期的英国》出版简讯,立即设法寻觅,半年多后才购到该书。展卷快读,才知这本印数仅2000册的书,在诸多方面都可作为文史类学术研究和专著撰写的楷模。本书是南大专治英国文学、英国史专家范存忠教授的绝笔,也可说是先生毕生研治中英文化的丰硕结晶。对读者了解中国文化对英国文化(诸如文学、历史、戏剧、建筑和宗教等方面)的影响很有帮助。
