The North American Rockwell company in the United States first proposed the concept of “flexible ball bearings” in 1968, and MPB (Micro Precision Bearings) and others were studying practical problems. The average fatigue life of a rolling bearing is proportional to the alternating shear stress below the raceway contact area, which in turn is proportional to the maximum compressive stress. Therefore, without considering other factors, but only reduce the compressive stress, it will extend the bearing life. In theory, bearing life is inversely proportional to the ninth power of stress.
